This is an invitation to all citrus growers, their technical staff, citrus consultants and citrus related industries to attend the 6th biennial Citrus Research Symposium.
The primary objective of the Citrus Research Symposium is to give the CRI Group of researchers, which
Includes CRI’s own researchers, researchers from several Universities and the ARC as well as private
research organisations contracted to do research for the CRI, an opportunity to present and discuss the
results and progress of their research. At the same time those groups who are involved with the transfer
of technology to the southern African citrus producers will have an opportunity to learn of new development
resulting from the research conducted during the past two years. All areas of research will be covered.
SASCCON consultants, extension officers, technical personnel from co-
and their production managers who are sufficiently conversant with technical issues are encouraged to
attend. Exposure to researchers should assist in the updating of information and lead to healthy debate.
The 6th Citrus Research Symposium will be held in central KwaZulu-
2010 at 17:00, to Wednesday, 18 August 2010 at ± 17:00. The venue will be Champagne Sports Resort
close to Winterton. The Citrus Research Symposia have previously been held in the following
areas: Mpumalanga (2000), the Western Cape (2002), the Limpopo Province (2004), Eastern Cape (2006)
